An improved thermal performance modeling for high-speed spindle of machine tool based on thermal contact resistance analysis

The temperature field distribution has a significant influence on structural performance, thermal deformation, and error compensation. To improve the prediction accuracy of spindle system, comprehensive model considering contact resistance (TCR) interfaces was established to analyze performance high-speed system in present work. An elastoplastic used calculate contacting areas loads interfaces, which were employed establish primary spindle, such as bearing rings tool holders. Based TCR parameters, finite element analysis (FEA) proposed system. And test experiment set up verify FEA model. results show that relative errors representative points all less than 5%, means can appropriately reflect spindle.
